SOUNDSYSTEM

SHORT PRESENTATION OF PROJECT :

The Sound System speaks to themes of modern transparency, the deconstruction of technology, and a challenge to the polished perfection of consumer electronics. There is an honesty in the materials, a celebration of the inner workings of sound, all while echoing a DIY or hacker-like ethos that blurs the boundaries between art, engineering, and everyday objects.

STATE OF THE ARTIFACTS : DESTROYED

  • Materials & Methods:
Old Speakers, Bluetooth Card, Battery, Plexiglass, Screw, & Scotch

    • AIM
As a statement about ART and Modern World, I decided to replicate design of a speakers that we can see nowaydays, over engineered with some materials that are not done to transmit good vibrations. Their aim is to make it look more good than what it sounds good. I built it in the aim to create a self destruction item that will break itself when used.

    • Results
By Pushing the limit, the build as been thought to dismantle himself wich happened. Unfortunately I did not record that; The plexiglass resonates so much that it shattered. The Artifcats has reached it’s potential: break itself in it’s basic fonction.

    • Discussion
To attract the consumers we do create things that are more good looking than truly usefull. Creators makes systems on focusing to make it user friendly. How far can we push this ?
